I know people eat when they are stressed, or some would say stress is eating them. Well, in my case stress is eating my teeth?!
Wanted to share quick story with you, and raise your awareness. We all know by now, they are many affects of stress on us, insomnia, depression, anxiety, headaches…. We are aware of them, some of us decided to tackle them; some of us are still in frazzle, ……trying to figure out what’s going on and where to start? There are many scientific evidence that all illnesses come “from our head”, from our frazzled and stressed mind. Good night sleep should be at least good start on the road to recovery, but, does it?
The other day I went to the dentist for the annual check up.
All good, no cavities Jasmina, but I can see you are still grinding your teeth! While a sleep….! And then the long story on stress, and how cup of tea and a book before the bed should be helpful, says the dentist! Didn’t want to burst her bubble by saying that I know “few things” about the stress.
I left the dentist with night guard denture; I guess this is prep for dentures in the glass on the bedside table one day J
Some of my high school friends would say nothing to worry about while they are in business, but made me think about the vicious circle. Teeth, headaches, tight muscles, back pain, insomnia, …or other way bad digestion, poor sleep, and so on….
As much as we try to be organized and prepared to avoid the stress throughout the day, if your mind is still frazzled stress will get you on subconscious level, or like me, while a sleep.
So if stress is part of your life, make that #stress4Less your New Year resolution!
