A vision board is a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. Creating a vision board is probably one of the most valuable visualization tools available to you. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to do, be, do or have in your life.
We leave in digital era; most of us don’t even use our computers, or TV’s any more. We leave with our phones, so why don’t we create digital vision board, you can print it out, or use as phone wallpaper. I bet that is place you gonna see, and check on the most every day! Tell me if I am wrong?
Set back relax, and dream…
Step 1:
Write down one of the big goal you have for your life that you want to start working on right now. Be specific as possible! Your goal can be in the areas of lifestyle & fun, career & work, money & finances, health & wellness, family & friends, love & romance or personal growth and spirituality. Answer question below to help guide you in creating your vision board. I would suggest you to revisit or review your boards every so often, depend on the goal, but not longer then 6 months. Feel free to make short-term vision boards, like little to do list, weekly, monthly, or twice a year like I do. Please take a pen and paper and write all this things down, it will help you to make clear picture or where you want to be in your life, after you visualize that in your mind, will be easy to find related images and start on vision board of any kind.
Think of the goals as you already achieve them, behave as you already achieve them.
1.Where do you see yourself in 5 years? What small step can you take between now and December 31, 2016 to achieve it?
2.Who you want to be?
3.What do you want?
4.How will you know what you achieve it?
5.If money was not an issue, where would you visit? Anywhere in the world?!
6.What does happiness feel like to you?
7.What does the life of your dreams look like?
8.Is your life where you it thought it would be at
this current stage?
9.How far have you travel towards your goal, and how far yet to go?
10.What could be challenge on the way?
11.What are you strengths that could help you over come obstacles?
12.What could you do??
13.What else??
14.What elseee????
15.What is the best “transportation” to your goal?
16.What is easiest/preferred?
17.What one thing can you do to change it NOW?
What is your first baby step that you will make?
18.Whn will you take action on it? (Give me the date)
What did you learn about your self by doing this?
What did surprise you?
Step 2:
By now you should clarify what are your goals, and how they look like. Download some images that represent your goals. Vision boards had to be personal, must be your goal, not someone else. Has to be positive and realistic. (We all know I will never become prime minister for example)
Step 3:
Create your digital vision board using PhotoGrid, PicMonkey or PicStitch (smartphone app for iPhone and Android) to make a collage of your images. You can also use Pinterest to build a board around a specific goal.
Personally I used PhotoGrid, I narrow down to very specific images to represent my goal, and I focus on only one goal at the time. Its up to you, how many goals would you like to work on, and concept of your digital vision boards.
Step 4:
Save the final version of your digital vision board to your computer and make it your screensaver. If you have a smartphone, also be sure to save the image as your wallpaper so that you can look at your board every time you pick up your phone.
Step 5:
This is the most important step of all. You have to start thinking about your goal every morning when you wake up and right before you go to bed. In this way, you will get used to the idea of experiencing your desired future, even if it’s only in your mind for now.
I didn’t think I will say this, but in this case – look at your phone as much as you can! J
