Today I want to talk about our beliefs, limited beliefs !
We all have values and beliefs. Some of them keep us going, but some of our beliefs are holding us back. If we are tripping over the same stone over and over again, maybe it’s time to look in to it.
To make this a bit closer to you, I will tell you Zen-story about circus elephant, who was tide up with a tin, weak rope, since he was little. Ones he was grown up, that was such a small obstacle, on the way to freedom for a big elephant; he never even tried to escape for a rest of his life.
Here is why? Elephant was tide up with a rope since he was a baby, every attempt to escape was painful, and unsuccessful, so after a while, he give up, he got use to live in a small space in the circus.
Now a days as a big and powerful elephant he never tried to escape again, he believed that he can’t do it!
Everything outside his experience was untouchable to him. Big and powerful, in the different circumstances, he believed his old experience, which did not match the reality.
Same story applies to us. Our limited beliefs are holding us stronger then any ropes. Those beliefs are usually based on our past, and they don’t correspond iwith the present, very often we are not even aware of it!
What you believe becomes your reality, and that picture makes you disable to see new opportunities. If you believe that are not good enough, , … outcome of your actions will match your beliefs, in other words, we will become what we believe about ourselves. Unconsciously we are looking for an evidence to support our old story, and we not looking into new possibilities and opportunities.
